Need advice on the right antenna

Hey everybody, i just got a yaesu frg7 from my dad and im just using a wire antenna, this does a pretty good job for what it is but i am looking to upgrade. What would be the best option for this unit. Also is there any attachments to get rid of the static or is this just somthing i will have to put up with.
